Mr. Slade concentrates his practice in a variety of areas, including the defense of claims involving work site injuries, injuries occurring on commercial premises, wrongful death, construction defects, contract disputes and civil rights violations, including claims under Title VII and Title IX, and insurance coverage litigation. Mr. Slade has also defended numerous class actions involving claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Mr. Slade graduated from the University of Michigan with High Honors in 2003, where he received a B.A. in Economics. While at Michigan, Mr. Slade won the John Elliot Parker Prize, awarded annually for outstanding contribution in the field of Labor Economics, for his paper Factors Affecting the Racial Composition of NCAA Division I-A College Football Teams
