Plaintiff filed suit claiming his snowmobile was “T-boned” by defendant’s snowmobile at 50-90mph after defendant crossed into his side of the trail in Northern Wisconsin. Plaintiff alleged that he incurred a traumatic brain injury, post-concussive syndrome, orbital, zygomatic and metacarpal fractures and a medical meniscus tear for which he underwent 2 surgeries. The defense contended that the plaintiff failed to slow down on a curve and crossed the center of the trail striking defendant’s snowmobile on defendant’s side of the trail. After a 3-day trial, the jury found the defendant not guilty. Tried August 16, 2021 to August 18, 2021 before Judge Robert Kleeman, Eighteenth Judicial Circuit, DuPage County, Illinois.
